ROC company name change

The name of a company is regarded as the identity of a company, both public and private. Name clause can be altered as per the name change procedure under companies act 2013. The Memorandum of Association (MoA) of the company consists of the name clause of the company; hence change in company name ultimately results in the alteration of the MoA. The name that is adopted at the time of incorporation of the name can be changed later on according to the change of company rules. This can be done with the approval of the shareholder and Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA). Change in business name can be made with the prior approval of the shareholders through a special resolution, ROC will grant a new incorporation certificate on being satisfied.
